Volunteer
Parent participation is welcome and highly encouraged at St. Timothy School.
There are many ways to become involved, including assisting in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, serving on various boards, and participating in events and activities.
Volunteers bring ideas, energy, and expertise, and are an essential part of what makes our school great.
All volunteers must be certified with our online child safety program, through Virtus, and must complete LiveScan fingerprinting.
Clink here for Virtus training instructions and here for the LiveScan fingerprinting form which can be taken to any location that processes LiveScan applications.
Please call the office for more information at 650-342-6567.
VOLUNTEER Service Hour Commitment
Families who choose the participating tuition rate fulfill a minimum of 40 hours of service per school year (20 hours for single parent families). Families who choose the non-participating tuition rate are not required to fulfill volunteer service hours, but are welcome and encouraged to do so.
Information about volunteer opportunities is communicated regularly through the SchoolSpeak portal. Of the 40 required service hours, up to 20 (10 for single parent families) may be worked for the parish (i.e. Bingo).
Parent Groups
Parents are encouraged to actively participate in St. Timothy School parent groups.
The St. Timothy Parish School Consultative Board serves in an advisory capacity to the pastor and principal. The board meets once per month during the school year. All regularly scheduled meetings are open.
The St. Timothy School Parents Organization works to foster school community, assist with financial support of the school, and organize activities and events, and serve as a liaison between the parent community and the school.
