Student Faire - Students at all grade levels demonstrate their artistic and academic skills at the annual Student Faire. They choose projects with the assistance of their teacher or based on a special interest. Their work is exhibited in the school gymnasium for parents, prospective students and their parents, and parishioners.
Advent Musical - Each year the faculty and the students of St. Timothy present an Advent Musical to the parents and parish community.
Talent Show - In the spring, all students are invited to perform in the Talent Show. This event is organized by faculty advisors and the student council officers. The show is attended by the student body as well as family members of the participants.
School Newspaper - The Tiger is a cooperative effort produced by the junior high newspaper staff with the assistance of faculty advisors. All students are invited to submit article and art. The Tiger is computer formatted and is distributed to all students.
Stations of the Cross - During Lent, grades 5-8 alternate in leading the student body and attending parents and parishioners in the Way of the Cross, as well as presenting scriptural role playing during Holy Week. Grades K-4 divide the Stations among the five grades and alternate dramatizing three stations each week in church. They occasionally attend Stations with the older children.
Potluck Dinners - Each class participates in one potluck dinner a year. This event brings together students, parents, and teachers in an informal setting. Teachers prepare children for a short performance of a song, skit, or dance. School work and class projects may also be exhibited.
Halloween - On Halloween, all students are encouraged to wear their costumes and participate in a parade led by the eighth graders. Parents are also invited to watch the parade. After the parade each grade has the option of a classroom party and/or movie. The student council organizes a special Halloween dance for the junior high.
Contests - Students are invited to participate in numerous contests offered throughout the year. An annual poster contest for Red Ribbon week, Catholic high school math competitions, the Serra Club Essay Contest, and the annual Spelling Bee are a few examples of these events.
Instrumental Music - St. Timothy offers an instrumental music and band program. Parents pay a fee to the school for their children’s participation in the band. Students in grades 4-8 take small group instrumental music lessons once a week. Learn more about the instrumental program.
