Both boys and girls in grades 4-8 are eligible to play after school sports. Parent volunteers are solicited to direct and coach the teams which participate in league competitions. Students may participate in basketball, baseball, volleyball, track and cheerleading. The goals of the sports program are to promote physical health and to instill the values of team play and good sportsmanship.

St. Timothy Sports Program, being consistent with the attitudes and values of the school, is aimed at providing the opportunity to learn basic fundamentals, sportsmanship, and teamwork through participation in school sports. The Athletic Program includes the following sports which are offered by the Peninsula Parish School League (PPSL).

All eligible students enrolled in St. Timothy School may participate. In order to be eligible students must be in Grades 4-8 and maintain no less than a C average overall. Parents and students must abide by the rules of the PPSL in order to participate in this program. There is a fee per sport for each team participant.

Athletics Activities

Field Day - Events such as relay races and obstacle courses are featured in a springtime field day that includes all students. Each team consists of players of all ages, and prizes are awarded to the winning team.

Black & Gold Tournament - One of the highlights of the basketball season is the annual Black/Gold Tournament. The 8th graders are assigned to coed teams and play a very spirited game. The entire student body attends this event. Each class is assigned a particular team to cheer for, and the cheerleaders help to promote enthusiasm for each team.

Faculty/8th Grade Softball Game - The 8th graders challenge the faculty in an annual softball game, held at the end of the year. This has been a tradition for over 20 years.
