Volunteering at St. Timothy School

Parents' positive participation in the life of the school sends a strong message to children about the family's commitment to education and the community.

There are many ways to get involved at St. Timothy School: assisting in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, serving on the various boards and participating in events and activities.

Volunteers bring ideas, energy and expertise, and are an essential part of what makes our school great.

Service Hour Commitment

Families who choose the "Participating" tuition rate must fulfill a minimum of 40 hours of service per school year. (Single parent families – 20 hours). All families who elect the participating tuition rate and accompanying 40 service hours are required to fulfill hours in the following way:

Other (Parent Choice)30 hours

Information will be announced prior to the Fall Event, Winter Event, and Spring Event about volunteer opportunities for each event. Of the 40 required service hours, up to 20 (10 for single parent families) may be worked for the parish (i.e. Bingo).

Please note that only parents are allowed to complete service hours. Parents will be asked to report hours worked using this form. Service hours should be reported on a monthly basis.

Families who elect the "Participating" tuition rate, but do not fulfill the service hour commitment will be required to pay the $950 difference between the "Participating" and "Non-Participating" tuition rates.

If no service hours are performed by October 31 of the current school year, by a "Participating" family, that family's tuition rate will automatically be converted to the "Non-Participating" tuition rate.
